Registration Committee
The roles and responsibilities of this committee include:
- Assessing applications for registration of Nurses and Midwives trained outside The Bahamas and recommending approval or refusal to the Council.
- Assessing applications for enrolment of nurses trained outside The Bahamas and recommending approval or refusal to the Council.
- Assessing applications for licensing and re-licensing of Nursing Agencies and making recommendations for approval or refusal to the Council.
- Reviewing standards for the registration or enrolment of nurses.
- Developing/revising policies and related forms every 5 years, or as necessary, in accordance with the current Nurses and Midwives Act.
- Considering any registration-related matters and referring them to the Council with appropriate recommendations.
